RACEHORSE CONNECT

Privacy Policy

How Racehorse Connect handles your information, the choices you have, and how to reach us.

Effective / updated October 25, 2026

Who this covers

This policy covers Racehorse Connect and the website’s account, marketplace, directory, community and support features. Racehorse Connect is the service name used in this policy. For privacy questions, email racehorseconnect@outlook.com or use Contact & Support. You do not need an account to email a request.

Information we collect

We collect account email addresses, authentication identifiers and signup acknowledgments; Supabase handles passwords and sign-in sessions. We also store the information you choose to provide: usernames, optional profiles, listing and business details, photos, videos and documents, directory claims, event submissions, inquiry messages and replies, saved items, community posts, comments, likes, poll choices, email-alert preferences and support requests. Safety records can include reports, blocks, account restrictions, review reasons and administrator audit entries.

Technical information and browser storage

Our hosting and authentication providers process technical information such as IP addresses, browser/device information, request times and security logs to deliver and protect the service. Session cookies keep you signed in. Some tools use browser storage for saved research items, notes or checklist progress. See our Cookie & Browser Storage Notice. Do not put confidential information in browser notes on a shared device.

Where information comes from

Most member information comes from you and your activity on the site. Other members may send inquiries or reports involving your account. Directory business facts and research/calendar entries may come from linked public sources or an authorized business representative. Contact us to correct a public business record or explain why it should be removed.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts; publish approved content; connect inquiry participants; show usernames, conversations and unread counts; provide requested email alerts; save your choices; moderate content; investigate reports and fraud; answer requests; and maintain the service. We do not currently sell personal information, run behavioral advertising trackers, or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about members. Poll results show totals rather than a public list of individual votes.

What other people can see

Published listings, business profiles, community posts, comments, reactions and attachments can be viewed by people who can access those pages, and may be copied, shared or indexed by search engines. Community and inquiry displays use usernames; a username provides a public handle, not guaranteed anonymity. Content, links, photos and business names can identify you. Your sign-in email is not automatically displayed publicly. Optional public member profiles may show the name, location, biography, photo and website you choose to publish.

Messages and safety reviews

Inquiry conversations are available to their participants. Authorized administrators can investigate a reported conversation through the safety tools after recording a reason; access and review actions are logged. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We may retain or disclose relevant records when necessary for safety, dispute handling, legal obligations or valid legal requests. Reports are not posted publicly, although context may make a reporter’s identity apparent.

Uploads and shared documents

Published community attachments are available with their posts or comments. Unpublished community uploads have access checks for their owner and administrators. Listing and profile images may be accessible by their unique URLs. Removing a link is not the same as erasing a file. Avoid uploading identity documents, bank details, private veterinary records, precise home addresses or material containing another person’s private information. Downloads and copies made by others may remain outside our control.

Service providers and outside links

Cloudflare provides hosting, database and file storage; Supabase provides authentication; and Resend delivers transactional email. These providers process information needed for their functions under their own terms and privacy practices, and processing may occur outside your state or country. Message alerts contain a conversation link rather than the message text. External publisher, organizer, business and social-media links take you to services we do not control.

Your choices and requests

You can edit profile visibility, manage saved items, change your username subject to availability, change your poll vote, and turn message email alerts on or off in Settings. Confirmation, password-reset and important service or safety messages are separate from optional inquiry alerts. To request access, correction, a copy of your information, deletion, or assistance exercising rights available under applicable law, use a privacy request or email racehorseconnect@outlook.com. We may verify your relationship to the account or record before acting. Do not send your password or unnecessary identity documents. If you disagree with our response, ask for a review using an appeal request; you may also contact your applicable privacy regulator. We will handle applicable requests and appeals within the time required by law and explain any permitted limitations.

Retention and deletion

We keep account information and submitted records while needed to provide the service, maintain conversations, resolve requests and protect the community. Account deletion and data removal are currently handled by an administrator, rather than an instant self-service delete button. Public contributions may need to be removed or de-identified separately, and records relevant to safety reports, legal obligations or disputes may be retained as necessary. Provider logs, backups and delivered email can have separate retention cycles; deletion is not instantaneous across every backup or recipient copy. Contact us about a particular record or upload.

Children, security and changes

Accounts and interactive member features are intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect account information from children under 13; contact racehorseconnect@outlook.com if you believe a child has supplied information. We use authentication, access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security. We will update the date on this page when the policy changes and provide additional notice where required. New uses that require consent will not rely only on a silent policy edit.
