01

Start with a specific problem

Describe who experiences the problem, how they handle it today, and what a better outcome would look like. Missing local contacts, confusing ownership information, and difficult transitions after racing are different problems from predicting a race result. Choose a narrow first task and a way to measure whether it improves someone’s day.

02

What The Jockey Club has announced

Its Spring 2026 From the Rail newsletter describes a Thoroughbred Data Hub and Innovation Incubator, including planned real-time racing and pedigree APIs, a proposal process, and discounted data pricing for qualifying startups. The publication also discusses fan engagement, ownership education, traceability, and aftercare. These announcements identify possible routes for collaboration; they do not establish our eligibility, an approved partnership, or the terms available to Racehorse Connect.

03

Ask what the evidence really shows

For research or a new technology, identify the original publisher, study population, measurements, and limitations. Separate a pilot, a commercial claim, an announced project, and an established service. Ask whether the evidence applies to the breed, setting, and use you care about. When a tool informs horse health or welfare, qualified professional review matters alongside its technical performance.

04

What we can build now

Racehorse Connect can make original explanations, researched public business profiles, practical checklists, and clear routes to official sources useful today. Licensed data may support later features once access and terms are agreed. The next step is to learn which tasks visitors complete, where they get stuck, and what information they cannot find. Share a concrete problem through the form below; this is a feedback route, not a promise that a proposed tool already exists.
